About Saikat Goswami, M.B.B.S.
As a pediatric hematologist-oncologist, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, individualized care to children and adolescents facing blood disorders and cancer. I am particularly passionate about sickle cell disease and I believe in treating it by fostering trust, ensuring clear communication, and supporting each family throughout their medical journey. Every day, I am inspired by the resilience of my patients and the strength of their families.
Dr. Saikat Goswami is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at AVÑо¿Ëù dedicated to providing care for children and adolescents facing blood disorders and cancer. Dr. Goswami combines clinical expertise with a family-centered approach to support patients through diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Goswami earned his medical degree from M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, India, followed by a pediatric residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, NY and fellowship training in pediatric hematology-oncology at Cohen Children's Medical Center, NY. He has broad clinical interests in sickle cell disease, leukemia, and solid tumors. During fellowship, his research was on alloimmunization in children with sickle cell disease, focusing on strategies to reduce transfusion-related complications and improve long-term care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Goswami enjoys traveling, playing cricket and is an avid dog lover.
